Tamarind Storm



  • 2 oz Aged Rum
  • 2 oz Ginger Beer
  • ½ tsp Tamarind Paste
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters

  • Pour the ginger beer into an Old-Fashioned Glass. Shake the rum, tamarind paste and orange bitters, with ice, in a Cocktail Shaker. Strain over the ginger beer and add 1 ice cube.

This version, using tamarind paste, adds more depth, complexity, and richness to the cocktail. The extra effort affords a sour plum component and compliments the sharp spice of the ginger beer and the sweetness of the rum.
