Strainers

We use three different type of strainers – what we call our “hole-y” trinity. Yeah, I know! We’re hilarious! The Hawthorne strainer (with it’s flexible spring) is designed to fit snugly into the lip of your mixing glass (or even your mixing tin). The Julep strainer is a very handy piece of hardware which allows you to quickly hold back the ice and any large bits of fruit, providing for a speedy and efficient pour from your mixing glass. The fine mesh sieve will keep the smallest of seeds and pith out of your cocktail. Typically used in the double-straining technique, it will catch what your Hawthorne and Julep strainer won’t.
