Sorghum Margarita
2017-06-01Ingredients
- 1½ oz. Tequila or Mezcal
- ¾ oz. Dry Curaçao
- 1¼ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ oz. Sorghum Syrup
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Stir to dissolve the syrup. Add ice and stir to chill. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lime curly-cue.
Mix up this delightful Margarita, sweetened by the earthy/grassy/malty/grape nutsy-endowded Sorghum Syrup. If you like your Margarita super-smoky, use Mezcal (Tequila’s smoky cousin). If you’re not a fan of smoke, use Tequila. If you’re undecided, use ¾ oz. each of Mezcal and Tequila! Get yourself a jug of this home-grown southern molasses-y syrup and make this or any of the other 8 cocktails we’ve designed around it. Loaded with flavor and character, it is a cocktail sweetener like no other. Cheers!
