Singapore Sling

  • 1½ oz Gin
  • 1½ oz Pineapple Juice
  • ½ oz Lime Juice
  • ¼ oz Cherry Heering
  • ¼ oz Benedictine
  • ¼ oz Grenadine
  • ¼ oz Cointreau
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters

  • Shake all ingredients with ice in a Cocktail Shaker. Strain into a Coupe Glass.

  • Garnish with skewered Brandied Cherries.

This classic cocktail has hundreds of variations. The reason for that stems from the sad fact that the original recipe has been lost. Yet people have been aiming to recreate it ever since. This is the best recipe we’ve come across. So if you can’t make it to the short end of the Long Bar at The Raffles, mix this up tropical delight and let your imagination take you there. Yes, we know it has a lot of ingredients, but it is easily made when you just put together your Sling Business. The Sling Business is large, equivalent portions of the Cherry Heering, Benedictine, Grenedine and Cointreau all mixed together. That way instead of measuring out eight different ingredients you only have four to deal with. Put together your Sling Business and business will be good.
