Scorpion Stinger Margarita
2013-09-06Ingredients
- ½“ section Jalapeno Pepper
- 2 sprigs Cilantro
- 1½ oz Tequila
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- ½ oz Agave Nectar
- In the glass of a Boston Shaker, muddle the jalapeno pepper and cilantro in the tequila. Add the remaining ingredients, with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a Margarita Glass.
- Garnish with an edible (or plastic) scorpion.
Garnishing this drink with a live scorpion might make it one of our most dangerous cocktails – just ahead of the French 75! Though we wouldn’t use a live scorpion, we do garnish with an edible scorpion (or, if not available, a plastic scorpion) for fun. The Scorpion Stinger is a delicious margarita with a sharp sting of heat from the jalapeno, which gives it its name. This is a fun and delightful cocktail to enjoy with any Southwestern or Mexican food, or great as a Summertime sipper. Enjoy!
