Prickly Pear Cactus Martini



  • 2 oz Citrus Vodka
  • 1 Prickly Pear Pod (Tuna), peeled
  • ¾ oz Cointreau
  • ¾ oz Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Rock Candy (or Rich Simple) Syrup

  • In the glass of a Boston shaker, muddle the prickly pear pod in the vodka. Add the remaining ingredients, with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a Martini Glass.

  • Garnish with a Prickly Pear Pod slice.

Another great drink in which we get to muddle a tuna! Seriously, how crazy are we! This drink actually calls for muddling a prickly pear tuna. A prickly pear cactus fruit is called a tuna. We prefer to muddle a red tuna because the color makes for one of the most naturally beautiful drinks you’ll ever see. Cut a slice of the green tuna for garnish and the contrast of colors will have everyone wanting to try this drink at your next party.
