- 1½ oz. Gin
- ¼ oz. Cynar
- ½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ oz. Grenadine*
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Add all ingredients, with ice, to a Cocktail Shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

This delightful cocktail, created by Doug Phillips from Chicago’s Slippery Slope, offers up nice botanical notes (from the gin) alongside the pomegranatey tartness of the grenadine. The Cynar provides nice depth to this drink, but only a notion of bitter. We enjoy this cocktail on its own or alongside a greasy burger or anything fried. Cheers!
