- 1½ oz Green Crème de Menthe
- 1½ oz White Crème de Cacao
- 5 oz Vanilla Ice Cream
- Blend all ingredients in a Blender until smooth. Pour into a White Wine Glass or Narrow Tumbler that has been drizzled with Chocolate Syrup.
- Garnish with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Shavings.
This classic blended concoction is probably the most recognizable ice cream cocktail on the planet. Ice cream cocktails were everywhere in the 1960’s, and this critter was first blended at Tujague’s bar in New Orleans’ French Quarter. An after-dinner/dessert cocktail, it was named the Grasshopper for the green color provided from the crème de menthe.
