- 2 oz Gin
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz Crème de Violette
- ½ oz Agave Nectar
- 6 – 1” squares of Purple Bell Pepper
- Add the gin and pepper to a mixing glass. Muddle the pepper aggressively. Add the remaining ingredients, with ice, and stir to chill. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a small purple bell pepper or pepper wedge.
This dusky gray-colored drink (inspired by Gracie Allen) is tart and sweet, with a sharp earthy (peppery) complexity, and bright notes from the violet liqueur. You can use a green pepper as it has the same flavor as the purple, but we love the dark hue in this delicious and sophisticated cocktail. Enjoy!
