Chartreuse Swizzle

2014-11-08

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1½ oz Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Falernum*
  • 8 Mint Leaves (plus a sprig for garnish)

  • Drop the mint leaves into the serving glass and muddle/tear them with the end of your swizzle stick. Add the remaining ingredients and fill the glass with crushed ice. Swizzle, with a swizzle stick or bar spoon, until well chilled. Top with more ice and add cocktail straws. Garnish with a mint sprig.

  • *See our Falernum recipe/video or use a store-bought variety like John Taylor’s Velvet Falernum.

This is one awesome cocktail! Created by Marco Dionysos, this fragrant, tropical drink is a delicious, complex, summertime sipper. We enjoy it on its own or with greasy/salty food – think blue-cheese burger and fries. BAM! We’ve tweaked it a bit by gently muddling the mint and easing off, a bit, on the Chartreuse. Nice, sweet, herbaceous, and perfumy. We bet you can’t have just one. Be sure to check out our other Falernum cocktails, including our Cucumber No. 5, which is inspired by this gem. Learn how to make your own Falernum, as well. Cheers!
