  • Add all ingredients, with ice, to a Cocktail Shaker. Shake to chill and strain into a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with a Calamintha sprig.

  • **No Calamintha? Substitute our Oregano-Mint Simple Syrup.

Calamintha is a hardy herb native to Italy where it is both cultivated and grows wild. It is used to flavor savory meat dishes, sauces, and marinades. Here we use it to flavor the syrup we will use in our Whiskey Sour. This cocktail is very flexible so use your favorite bourbon or rye. The syrup is hefty enough to stand up to a lightly peated whisky like Talisker, or a similarly styled Japanese whisky. Learn how to make the Calamintha Simple Syrup and check out the other Calamintha Cocktails we have made to date. If you have a hard time getting your hands on some Calamintha, then substitute our Oregano-Mint Simple Syrup. Cheers!
