Bourbon Batida
2015-04-27Ingredients
- 1½ oz. Bourbon
- ½ oz. Averna Amaro
- 2 oz. sweetened Condensed Milk
- 5¾ oz. ice (that's 5 1”-square ice cubes)
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into a milk glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
This is a cocktail in the style of a Batida – the sweet blended Brazilian drink typically made with a Brazilian sugar-cane rum (Cachaça), fruit, sweetened condensed milk, and ice. To make the Bourbon Batida, we’re substituting Bourbon for the Cachaça and adding depth with subtle coffee and cocoa notes from the Averna Amaro. The drink is a delight, and if you enjoy it, be certain to check out the other Batidas we’ve made. Cheers!
