Bacon Infused Bourbon



  • ½ lb Bacon
  • 1 (750ml) bottle Bourbon

  • Pour the Bourbon into a lidded jar or large glass bowl. Fry the bacon over medium heat until slightly crispy. Strain the bacon grease (1-1½ oz) into the jar of Bourbon. Let sit on the counter for 6 hours, stirring occasionally. Place the mixture into the freezer for an hour or two. Remove from the freezer, strain out the solidified bacon fat, and pour the Bourbon back into the original bottle.

Though we’re not sure who came up with the idea of drizzling bacon-drippings into bourbon, we are certain of the fact that they are brilliant! We use Bacon Infused Bourbon (also called Bacon Washed Bourbon) in the Bacon Old Fashioned, our Bacon Boulevardier, and our Hog Wallow. The bacon fat wash gives your bourbon a smooth, subtly smoky, bacon flavor which adds a delicious dimension to your favorite cocktail.
