This is our “succulent” take on the bitter Italian classic: the Americano. The juice from the spiny Aloe Vera leaf has its own bitterness, so we’ve tweaked the original recipe by substituting the traditional Campari with its less bitter cousin, Aperol. This light and refreshing cocktail is the perfect drink to start off your meal. It’s also a lot of fun to make because there is something oddly satisfying about muddling the Aloe Vera leaf to express its bitter gel. Enjoy!
