Piña Colada (blended)2014-07-06
- 1 oz Aged Rum
- 1 oz Coconut Rum
- 2 oz unsweetened Pineapple Juice
- 2½ oz Cream of Coconut
- 1½ cups Ice
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters (optional)
- Add all ingredients (except the bitters) to a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into a White Wine or Hurricane Glass. Top with the bitters and garnish with a pineapple wedge or paper umbrella.
“If you like piña coladas……,” then you’ll love our blended version of this delightful cocktail. Now we don’t mind drinking cocktails garnished with a paper umbrella. In fact, we love it! But there is no reason that a fru-fru cocktail can’t be amazingly delicious. We add some depth and sophistication to this drink by using a nice aged rum. We add bright coconut notes by using a coconut rum in place of the standard white rum. This is the perfect Piña Colada to make if you don’t mind cleaning your blender or dealing with that noise!
