The Daiquiri is one of the great classic cocktails. Here is the original style, not the girly frozen/blended version which are common today. The “manly” version originated in 1898 in Santiago, Cuba, invented by an American mining engineer and probably named for the beach which was near the Santiago Iron Mines. This is a great, simple, and refreshing drink to enjoy on the beach or anytime you wish you were at one.
