Pimm’s Cup

2013-08-31

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pimm’s No. 1
  • 4 oz Bitter Lemon Soda

  • Stir the Pimm’s No. 1 and bitter lemon soda with ice in a Double-Old Fashioned Glass.

  • Garnish with a Lemon Peel, Apple Wedge and Cucumber Slice.

This is a another great cocktail brought to us by our friends from across the pond. A simple drink (just two ingredients), it features Pimm’s No 1: invented by its namesake and owner of an oyster bar in London to complement his seafood. Often sipped at Wimbledon, with an erect pinky, of course, this cocktail is perfect with any sort of salty or greasy food. The British have brought us many great things, including the flush toilet and mohair knickers, but what we most truly appreciate are their classic cocktail creations. Rule Britannia!
