There Will Be Blood

2015-03-15

Ingredients

  • 2½ oz. Gin
  • 1½ oz. Blood Orange Bracer*
  • ½ oz. Pamplemousse Rose (Grapefruit) Liqueur
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters

  • Add all ingredients, with ice, to a mixing glass. Stir to chill and strain into a coupe glass. Twist an orange skin to release the oil, discarding the rind. Leave ungarnished or place a blood orange wheel on the rim of the glass.

  • *See our Blood Orange Bracer recipe/video.

Though this cocktail has a scary name, it’s not frightening at all. It is actually a very delightful drink which tastes as though you’re walking through a flower garden. It is sweet with notes of tart orange rind (from the Blood Orange Bracer) and pepper from the Ransom’s Small’s Gin. We developed this for Top Note Tonic and the Alcoholmanac magazine’s Apr/May 2015 issue along with some other Blood Orange Bracer cocktails which you should certainly check out. Cheers!
