Ingredients

  • 1½ oz Mezcal
  • 1 oz unswetened Pineapple Juice
  • ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Agave Nectar
  • ¼ oz Kummel Liqueur
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • ⅛ tsp Cayenne Pepper Powder

  • Add all ingredients, with ice, to Cocktail Shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a Margarita Glass.

  • Garnish with a Cucumber or Lime Wheel.

Might there be a cocktail so incredible, so distinctive, so complex, so balanced, and so unworldly that one would sell their soul for just a taste? Hell yeah! And this margarita just might be it! Devilishly delicious – smoky, sweet, and hot – this cocktail might get you thinking about the afterlife in a whole new light. We use ground cayenne pepper that rates around 40,000 Scoville Units. Look for very finely ground cayenne pepper or cayenne powder so it will distribute itself in the glass and not settle to the bottom. The Kummel Liqueur delivers some sweetness along with mysterious Indian-like overtones of caraway seed, cumin and fennel. Use a cool cucumber wheel to garnish this spicy beast and get through hell before the devil even knows you’re there.
