Rooty Toot Toot

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • ½ oz Root Beer Syrup*
  • ¾ oz chilled Club Soda
  • 1 dash Peychaud’s Bitters

  • Stir the rye and root beer syrup with ice in a Mixing Glass. Strain over the club soda and Peychaud’s bitters in a Coupe Glass.

  • Garnish with an Orange strip.

This delightful root beer based cocktail gets it’s name from the equally fun 1951 John Hubley UPA cartoon. If you haven’t seen this jazzy little murder-mystery musical with it’s incredible animation, mix up this recipe, sit back, and have Rooty Toot Toot, right in your snoot!
