Ingredients
- 1½ oz. Whiskey
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar-in-the-Raw
- 5 oz. Boiling Water
- Pre-heat your mug with boiling water. Discard the water and add the ingredients to the warm mug. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Do not garnish.
The classic Hot Toddy is the perfect cure for that cold wintry day. Mixing one up helps to relieve the frigid bite from the cold and damp. Don’t let this drink’s simplicity and drab appearance cause you to pass it by. It is one of the most delicious hot cocktails ever created. The Hot Toddy is a sling (spirit, sugar, and water), which utilizes hot water. Dating back to the latter part of the 18th century, one can imagine our Revolutionary-era ancestors enjoying this delightful drink on those cold wintry nights.
