Chartreuse Cobbler

2016-01-22

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz. Gin
  • ½ oz. Green Chartreuse
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • ⅔ oz. Simple Syrup
  • 5-6 Mint Leaves
  • 1 Rosemary Sprig

  • Add all ingredients, except the rosemary sprig, with ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Dip the rosemary into a small bowl or shot glass filled with green chartreuse. Set it between the ice cubes filling a Rocks glass. Set the sprig afire. Strain the cocktail over the burning sprig, thus extinguishing the flame.

This delightful cocktail (a crazy-ass gimlet) provides drama and a bit of “flare”. Created by Oron Lerner, this flavor-packed concoction is both fun to make and a delight to drink. Bright, tart, and perfumy, with pleasant earthy notes from the torched rosemary, this cocktail is a real winner! Cheers!
