Ingredients

  • 1½ oz Gin
  • ½ oz Sweet Vermouth
  • ½ oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 oz Orange Juice

  • Shake the gin, vermouths, and orange juice with ice in a Cocktail Shaker. Strain into an Old Fashioned Glass.

  • Garnish with an Orange Twist.

The Bronx is a classic cocktail created around 1900 by bartender Johnnie Solan. He coined it the Bronx (after the Bronx Zoo), because he was repeatedly told by his patrons of the many strange animals they would see after having a few too many of these cocktails. This is one of the first cocktails to use orange juice, and it’s actually best to hand squeeze the oranges because we’ve found this cocktail to be very sensitive to the bitterness from the rind.
