Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Dark Rum (Pusser’s)
  • 4 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz. Orange Juice
  • 1 oz. Cream of Coconut
  • 1 eyedropper Bittercube Blackstrap (or Angostura) Bitters

  • Add all ingredients, with ice, to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a hurricane glass over fresh ice cubes. Serve with a straw and garnish with a pineapple wedge or a dusting of grated nutmeg.

A cousin of the Piña Colada, the Painkiller goes down easy and does seem to provide some sort-of analgesic (or, perhaps, it’s amnesic) relief… We use Pusser’s Rum, per tradition, which is the original rum served on board the warships of Great Britain’s Royal Navy for more than 300 years. Rich, sweet, creamy, and delightful. Enjoy!
